An Oneida man died Monday morning in crash on Interstate 81 in Lebanon County.
According to Skook News, State Police at Jonestown said the crash occurred around 10:00am near Mile-marker 87 in the Northbound lane of Interstate 81.
The victim, identified 30 year old Jonathan Meier, was a passenger in the vehicle being driven by 35 year old Daniel Kromer, of Tresckow, who swerved to avoid running into a Jeep attempting to make a left turn into an emergency crossover.
Authorities said when the driver swerved; the vehicle struck a tree, overturned and ejected Meier from the vehicle.
Tresckow suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
Police are asking if anyone witnessed the accident to call State Police at Jonestown at (717) 865-2194.
