48 year old Jason T. Eckhart, of Lansford was recently arrested after police said he raped a minor in East Penn Township when he was a teenager more than 30 years ago.
According to the Republican Herald, Eckhart was between 14 and 19 years old at the time and the victim was younger than him.
Police said he admitted to being involved in inappropriate sexual acts with three minors before he turned 19 years old.
And, though he initially denied having sex with one of them, arrest papers state, he later told officers he didn’t remember the details because it was so long ago.
He was arraigned and released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
