A New York man was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County Tuesday morning.
According to state police, the crash occurred around 7 a.m. on I-81 North, just before Pine Grove, as 83 year old Carl A. Constantino was operating a Chevrolet truck when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a guard rail and overturned into a ditch.
Constantino who police said was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said that the crash may have been caused in part by the utility trailer that Constantino was pulling at the time of the accident.
State police at Jonestown are investigating the crash.
