During a press conference Wednesday at the state police barracks at Schuylkill Haven, authorities identified seven people in all who were jailed for their role in the “large methamphetamine trafficking organization” that encompassed primarily Schuylkill County. 

The Republican Herald reports that state police and county drug task force agents broke up what authorities called a major drug ring over the weekend, confiscating more than nine pounds of methamphetamine, as well as guns, large amounts of cash, a grenade launcher attachment and pipe bombs. 

Charged during the warrant sweep Saturday into Sunday were: 39 year old Chad Bainbridge, of Pottsville; 32 year old Angel Romeu, of Saint Clair; 35 year old David Bainbridge Jr., of Seltzer; 33 year old Brett Heinbach, of Pine Grove; 36 year old Jonathan Spiess, of Auburn; 41 year old Michael Donlin, of Pine Grove; and 55 year old Anthoney Haughton, of New Jersey. 

Capt. Kristal Turner-Childs, head of the state police Troop L, Reading, said the investigation revealed that those charged arranged for the delivery of methamphetamine from people operating in San Diego, California. 

Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg, arraigned each of the individuals and committed them to Schuylkill County Prison.
