A Pottsville Area student is facing charges after making a threat towards the Pottsville Area School District on Monday.
According to Skook News, Pottsville Police were dispatched to the Pottsville Area High School in response to a male 10th grade student making a threat to use a firearm in the school.
The student admitted to school officials and police that he had made threats but claimed it was a joke.
A Juvenile Allegation was prepared by police charging the juvenile with Terroristic threats and Persistent Disorderly Conduct and Schuylkill County Juvenile Justice officers met with police and took custody of the student for further action pursuant to their agencies protocol.
