A man was jailed over the weekend, charged by Shenandoah Police with shooting another man in the head Friday night.
According to the Republican Herald, Shenandoah Police Chief George Carado said the incident occurred at the intersection of Gilbert and Cherry streets around 10:10 p.m. where 58 year old Leo James admitted to shooting 31 year old Alex Spaid, both of Shenandoah.
Carado said Spaid suffered wounds to the right side of his head and his right hand. He was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville and remains there in stable condition.
James was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $200,000 straight cash bail. He will now have to appear at a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker in his Shenandoah courtroom.
