The National Weather Service issued a Fire Weather Watch for Schuylkill County and most of Central PA to be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. today.
The reasons for the watch include wind gusts, minimum relative humidity and peak winds between the hours of 1and 6pm.
These conditions create an increased risk for rapid spread of wild fires.
The National Weather Service warns that prescribed burns may get out of control and advise that outdoor burning is not recommended.
