The remains of nine puppies were pulled from a Schuylkill County creek Tuesday after they were discovered by a young girl and her mother on Monday.
Authorities say the remains were found in Wiconisco Creek in Porter Township outside of Tower City and appeared to have been thrown from a nearby bridge.
Animal Cruelty Officer Bridget Barder was on scene and said they aren't sure what breed the dogs are, but theorize they are a large breed dog, such as a Greyhound or Great Dane.
Some of the remains were taken to the veterinarians at the Pennsylvania Agriculture Department for an autopsy.
