Eric Frein pre-trial hearing comes to a hault...

Pre-trial motions in the Eric Frein case came to a halt Tuesday morning, in Pike County.

Frein is accused of killing Corporal Bryon Dickson and injuring trooper Alex Douglass, in September of 2014, at the blooming grove police barracks.

Defense attorneys for Frein wanted to prevent statements he made to police from being heard at his upcoming trial, which led the judge to order the courtroom to be emptied, in order to review the statements. Journalists objected the motion and prompted a postponement until Friday, as the judge will hear the news media's concerns Thursday afternoon, at which time, he will decide whether to keep the suppression hearing closed or open to the media.

District Attorney Ray Tonkin declined to comment on the matter until a ruling has been made.
