Some people will soon be out of a job in Hazleton. Mayor Jeff Cusat announced the layoffs late last week.
The streets and parking departments are just two of the offices that will be taking the cuts, effective May 8th.
The mayor is blaming the cuts on the budget passed by city council and said he hopes the layoffs in Hazleton will only be temporary.
