A man reported missing near Mahanoy City was found safe late Thursday.
According to Skook News, Mahanoy Township Police Chief Brandon Alexander, said a woman arrived at the police station after 1:00pm, Thursday, and reported her son, identified as, 20 year old John Luke Ballestros, missing and said he threatened to harm himself.
The man was reported to police to be in the area south of the Mahanoy Area School Complex.
Ballestros was found safe around 5:30pm and transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Mahanoy Area students were kept inside the school with additional law enforcement as a precaution during the incident.
