52 year old Kenneth A. Boyer, of Port Carbon, was found not guilty of attempted homicide in Schuylkill County Court, Thursday.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Boyer with shooting Alex Rosario in the chest and face on Aug. 11, 2017, in Port Carbon.
The jury did however find Boyer guilty of the lesser charges of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Judge John E. Domalakes scheduled the defendant’s sentencing for June 12. After the verdict, Boyer returned to prison, where he is being held in lieu of $250,000 straight cash bail.
