An incident that occurred around 9:30 a.m. March 31 in the area of Third and West Market streets in Pottsville has led to charges against one man.
According to the Republican Herald, police were called to the area for a report of a crash and at the scene found Brandon Kneas seated in the rear passenger area of a parked vehicle handling two clear plastic bags, one that contained a white crystal like substance consistent with methamphetamine. When police made initial contact with Kneas and instructed him to turn over the contraband, he ingested the matter.
Kneas was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment associated with the ingestion of the controlled substance.
As a result, police will be filing a criminal complaint with Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville.
