A Hazleton man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled 3-year-old girl and her 10-year-old female neighbor in Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County, is now in custody.
Authorities say 19 year old Dylan Joel Gonzalez was taken into custody at around 8 p.m. Thursday by Constable Pat Reynolds in Wilkes-Barre.
Patrolman Daniel Politza said the 3-year-old girl’s mother contacted police April 27 with the suspicion that Gonzalez, a relation who was staying in her house, had sexually assaulted her daughter and the 10-year-old daughter of a neighbor.
She also told police Gonzalez had been on house arrest for speaking sexually to a 6-year-old on the computer.
Gonzalez faces numerous charges, including 12 felonies for the rape of a child.
He is incarcerated on $250,000 cash bail.
