Tenants of the Schuylkill Mall were given information on the future of their businesses, Tuesday morning after receiving word from Greg Norris, the commercial asset manager for NorthPoint Development, Riverside, Missouri.
A meeting was held Tuesday morning and tenants, including Pearl Theatre Stadium 8, reported that they have been given 60-90 days to close their shops.
However, an official closing date of the mall was not announced. Stores located outside the mall are not included in the closure and are to remain open at this time.
Those stores include McDonald's, Big Lots, A&A Auto, Holiday Inn Express, and Cracker Barrel.
In January, a federal bankruptcy judge approved the auction sale of the mall to NorthPoint Development for $2.1 million.
