The Line Mountain School Board has rejected the ruling of a state arbitrator on a new teachers contract and the district teachers are set to strike, beginning today.
Mark McDade, representating the Line Mountain Education Association (LMEA), confirmed the work stoppage after last night’s meeting.
That means that teachers will resume their first strike that started back in September.
The district says that seniors will still report to class and keep their June 17th graduation date.
Classes at Northumberland County Career Technology center will also continue.
