State police at Frackville have released details for a fatal head-on crash that happened Saturday, in Rush Township.
According to the Republican Herald, the crash claimed the life of 29 year old Michael Snisky, of Nesquehoning.
State police said Snisky was driving east collided with a vehicle driven by 50 year old Jennie S. Plitt, of Nesquehoning, about 3:15 p.m. on Route 54, east of Lake Hauto. After impact, Snisky’s car careened back across the eastbound lane, then caught fire.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:41 p.m. by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Edward Smith.
Plitt and a female juvenile passenger from Philadelphia suffered major injuries while another passenger, 31 year old Jennifer M. Plitt, also of Nesquehoning, suffered moderate injuries.
The investigation into the crash is continuing and state police are asking any witnesses to call 570-874-5300.
