Hazleton receives money...

Taxpayers in Hazleton are getting some financial relief thanks to one of the city's biggest drug arrests.

The United States Attorney's Office and the Office of Homeland Security presented a grant to the city for nearly $300-thousand dollars.

The money comes from items seized during the arrest of 26-year-old Joshua Sweet, of Hazleton, who was arrested for being part of a large operation selling synthetic drugs.

It took about a year for the Hazleton Police Department to receive the money from the case.

The city says the money will be used to pay for things the department needs, such as group-violence intervention, vehicle fleets, and technology.
