An Orwigsburg man, whom police say allowed a toddler to eat from a bag of methamphetamine, is headed to Schuylkill County Court after waiving his right Monday to a preliminary hearing on charges stemming from the April incident in Lake Wynonah.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Schuylkill Haven allege 26 year old John A. Kemmerer and Leanne A. Popp allowed the 22-month-old girl, to eat meth from a baggie about 9:30 a.m.
April 9 at 1022 Pueblo Drive, Wayne Township. Police said the girl was flown by helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown area, where she was sedated and put in a medically induced coma.
Kemmerer is free on $25,000 straight cash bail pending further court action.
