Some traffic signal upgrades are planned across Pennsylvania. Townships will share more than $2 million in state grant money to make the upgrades to traffic signals across the state.
The improvements include installing audio boxes for the blind so they know when it's safe to cross.
Plus, many intersections will be upgraded with equipment that will allow first responders to change the lights from green to red, allowing them to travel through them safer.
Officials say they hope to make the upgrades sometime later this year.
