The Schuylkill YMCA Spirit Sprint is set to begin at 9 a.m. this Saturday in Pottsville.
During the 5K road race fundraising event, which is benefiting the Schuylkill YMCA, some parking restrictions will be set in place, in the city.
Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said there will be no parking from 8 p.m. Friday until the end of the event Saturday in the 500 and 600 blocks of North Centre Street.
Then beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, until the end of the race, no vehicular traffic will be permitted on the 500 and 600 blocks of North Centre Street; Peacock Street; Walter Griffith Avenue; North 16th Street, between Mount Hope Avenue and First Avenue; and York Farm Road, from 16th Street to the entrance to the JFK Pool Complex.
