Schuylkill County Drug Treatment Court participants volunteered their time to improve the city by cleaning four Pottsville playgrounds Sunday.
According to the Republican Herald, thirteen people who are in the program, which the county started last year, picked up trash, raked leaves and removed fallen tree branches.
Since May is National Drug Court Month, those in the program wanted to see what can be done to give back to the community.
Volunteers collected more than 50 bags of trash. The city donated the bags and will later pick them up.
