Schuylkill County voters will head to the polls today to pick Republican and Democrat nominees for nine county offices, a magisterial district judge and many township and borough offices as well as school board directors and candidates for two seats on the Superior Court.
According to the Republican Herald, only registered Republicans and Democrats may vote in the primary. Those who win their party’s nomination will face their opponents of the opposite party in the Nov. 5 General Election.
Write-in candidacies are also allowed in all elections.
The polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. at 125 precincts across the county.
