Residential parking permits are available, to Pottsville residents, who live in designated areas with parking meters.
For a $36 fee, residents can obtain the permits, which must be displayed on the rear-view mirror.
According to the Republican Herald, an estimated 60 city residents currently have the permits.
The new hanging permits are harder to steal and counterfeit and easier to transfer to another vehicle registered to the owner.
Each permit is specific to a car and zone. New permits are valid from July 1 to June 30, 2020.
