DeLuca’s Auto Repair Inc. is suing the city of Hazleton, the Mayor and police Chief over allegations that it can’t properly dispose of abandoned vehicles it towed for the city, resulting in a full-capacity impound lot.
According to the Republican Herald, city leaders failed to complete paperwork allowing the company to dispose of the vehicles in accordance with the law.
As a result, the business is currently unable to store additional vehicles and has suffered a loss of income.
According to the complaint, the abandoned vehicles have incurred $1.042 million in unpaid towing and storage fees.
