41 year old Michael H. Bond and 28 year old Hassan T. Hussain, both of Pottsville are free on bail after being arrested by Butler Township police for stealing a speed timing device Tuesday morning.
According to the Republican Herald, Lt. Daniel Holderman watched the entire episode from across the road as he was conducting a traffic enforcement detail on Route 901, Fairgrounds Road.
Holderman said a vehicle, driven by Bond, pulled over, stopped on the berm of the road and backed up in front of the speed timing device. That’s when the passenger, later identified as Hussain, exited and picked up the machine and attached battery pack.
Both men were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, and each released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
