Aqua Pennsylvania announced that it invested $17.8 million last year in water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades for its nine-county White Haven Division.
The company invested $7.2 million in Luzerne County, and $4.2 million in Schuylkill County.
The White Haven Division provides water and wastewater service to more than 20,000 people in parts of Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Schuylkill, Susquehanna, Wyoming and Carbon counties.
Statewide, the company serves about 1.4 million people in 31 counties. Aqua invested more than $225 million in infrastructure statewide in 2017 and plans to spend another $230 million this year.
