A fire that destroyed a home in Mahanoy Plane, late Sunday, is under investigation.
According to Skook News, it was just before 7:00pm when fire crews were called to 116 Island Road, Gilberton, for a working structure fire.
Multiple Schuylkill County fire crews were called including a tanker task force.
The fire quickly engulfed the unoccupied home and destroyed an attached garage as well.
One fireman was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Frackville Police and a State Police Fire Marshal are investigating a cause of the fire.
