A fire heavily damaged a Pottsville business and sent three firefighters to the hospital, Monday afternoon.
According to the Republican Herald, the Schuylkill County Communications Center received multiple calls shortly after 5 p.m. about a fire at Miller’s Recondition Shop, on Mauch Chunk St.
Fire Chief James E. Misstishin Sr. examined the scene Monday and said he is requesting a state police fire marshal to investigate because of the amount of fire damage.
Misstishin said three firefighters, one from Schuylkill Haven and two from Pottsville, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
No word yet on what started the blaze.
