An intruder was shot during a home invasion Sunday in North Manheim Township.
According to Skook News, state police at Schuylkill Haven said the victim, a 57-year-old Pottsville man, was doing work inside the house when another man entered the garage and grabbed a gas can, entered the home and poured gasoline all over the floor.
The victim pushed the intruder out of the house and a struggle ensued. The intruder was shot in the arm and abdomen and was flown to an area hospital for his injuries while the homeowner suffered injuries to his face.
Authorities say the intruder had not yet been positively identified as of Sunday night, and charges will be filed against him.
