42 year old Keri Cavenas is facing animal cruelty charges after she abandoned animals in a home in Mahanoy Township.
According to Skook News, Mahanoy Township police and a Humane Society Cruelty Officer responded to an animal welfare check at 361 Roosevelt Drive, in Mahanoy Township.
Police found 3 malnourished animals in the home, which had animal feces all over the first and second floors.
The Hillside SPCA was called and took a dog and two cats from the home. Code enforcement was at the home around 4:30pm to deem the home condemned.
