Prosecutors will begin presenting their case this morning in Schuylkill County Court against 18 year old Stanley E. Kralik, of Coaldale, one of two men they allege murdered 24 year old Corey M. Samuels, also of Coaldale.
State police at Frackville alleged Kralik and Oliver L. Trizarri fatally beat Samuels, between 11 p.m. Jan. 20, 2014, and midnight Jan. 21, 2014, in a wooded area off East Miner Street.
If convicted of first-degree murder, Kralik faces a possible life sentence.
Judge John E. Domalakes will preside over the trial.
Since Kralik was under 18 when he allegedly committed the crime, prosecutors could not seek the death penalty against him.
