Fire displaces 6...




Fire severely damaged two homes in Shenandoah, Monday afternoon, leaving six people temporarily homeless.

3 Firefighters were called to E. Lloyd St. about 4:45 p.m. to find the back of a building engulfed in flames. 

Shenandoah fire marshal Rick Examitas said the fire started in the 327 E. Lloyd St. portion of the home also damaging a home at 321 E. Lloyd St. 

All those temporarily displaced are being assisted by the American Red Cross Tri-County Chapter. 

Examitas said the cause is currently under investigation and added that Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal Trooper John F. Burns of the Frackville station will be at the scene today to assist in finding where and how the fire started.
