A Schuylkill County man has been charged with a drug-related death that occurred in Berks County, earlier this year.
According to the Berks County District Attorney's office, Spring Township Police responded to a report of a deceased female at an apartment complex on Van Reed Road on April 16, 2018.
It was suspected that the female had died of a drug overdose.
Drew Reed, of Auburn, admitted he had sold the victim drugs two days prior to her death. An autopsy was conducted and the cause of death was determined to be acute fentanyl toxicity.
Reed is currently awaiting arraignment while in Berks County Jail on a probation violation.
