Shenandoah fire accidental...




A fire in Shenandoah early Thursday morning has been ruled accidental.

 According to Skook News, emergency personnel were dispatched around 5:15am, to 222 South Jardin Street for a house fire. 

As crews responded a column of smoke could be seen, and a 2nd alarm was requested.  When crews arrived they found heavy fire coming from the rear of the home on the second floor. 

The fire was contained to the address at 222, with minor damage to adjacent homes. 

The cause of the fire was determined as electrical in nature and is believed to have started in the 2nd floor rear bedroom. 

Two adults and three children, who lived at the home were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

 The American Red Cross is assisting the family with lodging, food, and clothing.
