A Girardville man is facing assault and drug charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
According to Skook News, Girardville police encountered 47 year old Steven Bolinsky in the middle of Preston avenue under the influence of a controlled substance.
Lieutenant Matthew Williams attempted to take Bolinsky into custody, and a violent struggle ensued on the front porch of 306 Preston Ave.
Bolinsky was taken into custody and a search of his belongings uncovered heroin, and a used syringe.
He was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah, and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
