Residents in Hazleton reported hearing gunfire around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Officers with Hazleton and Butler Township Police Departments as well as State Police joined in on the investigation. Police say one person was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
That individual was said to be listed in stable condition. This incident is the second reported shooting in 24 hours in the city. Police charged Christian Rosado in connection with a deadly shooting that happened, near Seybert and First Streets, around 10:30 Saturday night.
He was arraigned Sunday on theft and firearm possession charges. Rosado has not been charged with the deadly shooting at this time.
However, court documents say he admitted to firing four rounds from a .40 caliber handgun at the victim, whose identity has not yet been released.
