A traffic accident, in Saint Clair, claimed the lives of a Frackville couple Tuesday morning.
According to the Republican Herald, 87 year old John A. Yanchulis died when the car driven by his wife, 82 year old Jean C. Yanchulis, was struck broadside after it turned in front of an SUV being driven by 44 year old Stephonia Long, of Philadelphia.
Saint Clair police Patrolman Joseph Leskin said the Long vehicle struck a vehicle driven by 54 year old Albert Amberlavage, of Shenandoah, who was stopped in the southbound left turn lane.
Leskin said Long was taken to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries and Amberlavage was not hurt.
Jean Yanchulis died later at a local hospital.
