An investigation is underway after a church fire in Schuylkill County.
According to officials, the three alarm blaze broke out at the former First Presbyterian church, in Tamaqua, Saturday night around 11:30 PM.
The church, on West Broad Street, closed down about ten years ago and was purchased by an artist.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire.
Two firefighters from Tamaqua were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
There is No word yet on what started the fire which caused severe damage to the building and its contents.
A fire marshal from Reading was on scene Sunday to investigate.
