Two people from Maryland were flown to a regional trauma center Saturday morning after their motorcycle blew a tire and crashed on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.
State police at Frackville said the motorcycle, driven by 60 year old Thomas D. Goodson was headed south on the highway just before 11 a.m when the tire blew and he could not maintain control.
The motorcycle crossed into the median and flipped end over end, ejecting Goodson and a passenger, 59 year old Patricia Belicastro.
The pair suffered injuries and were flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Both victims were wearing helmets.
