West Nile spreading...




The Pennsylvania's West Nile Control Program and Department of Health announced that more mosquitoes tested positive for the West Nile Virus in Schuylkill County. 

It was announced last week, that mosquitos had test positive for the West Nile Virus in the city of Pottsville. 

As of Monday, mosquitos have now tested positive for the virus in Ringtown, Mahanoy Township, West Mahanoy Township, and Schuylkill Haven. 

No humans, birds, or other animals have tested positive for the virus. 

The most effective way to avoid West Nile virus disease is to prevent mosquito bites. Be aware of the West Nile virus activity in your area and take action to protect yourself and your family.
