ConAgra Foods is recalling nearly 200,000 pounds of meat that may be tainted with, curled, shiny metal fragments.
The recall affects several types of P.F. Chang’s frozen meals containing chicken and beef. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the metal may be embedded in the sauce contained in the frozen packages.
The problem was first discovered July 1, 2016 when an employee making the sauce spotted the shards while pouring sugar bought from a supplier.
The frozen chicken and beef items were produced between May 31, 2016 and June 22, 2016 and will have “EST. 223” or “EST. P-115” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The meals were shipped to distributors and retail locations across the nation.
There have not been any confirmed cases of people consuming the fragments, which range in length between 2mm and 9mm.
The USDA is urging people not to consume the products.
