Strong thunderstorms that moved through Schuylkill and surrounding counties, Monday afternoon, were to blame for some power outage in the area.
According to reports from PPL, Ashland, Butler Township, Frackville and Helfenstein were among some of the communities without power.
PPL utilities reported that power had been restored to the Ashland area by 2:25pm, and crews worked thru ought the day to restore power to the other hundreds of customers experiencing the black out.
