The Rush Township Police announced Thursday that they have installed a permanent option for disposing prescription medication.
According to Skook News, area residents can now come to the Rush Township Building at 104 Mahanoy Avenue during normal business hours and safely dispose of expired or no longer needed prescription medication.
The secure disposal box was obtained through a grant from the Rite Aid Foundation, with no cost to the Township residents.
The medicine will be removed from the disposal box by the police department evidence officer and stored in evidence control until the medication is securely disposed of.
