Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale concluded Thursday, that prosecutors had presented enough evidence to support all charges against 37 year old Michael Marchalk, in the death of his father, Gary, during a preliminary hearing.
State police at Frackville charged Marchalk with killing his father by beating him with a baseball bat on June 18 at the residence they shared at 21 Pear St., in Barnesville.
At the end of the hearing, Hale ordered all charges which include criminal homicide, first, second and third-degree murder, among other counts, held for court.
Police arrested Michael on June 23 on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, where they said he had fled after killing his father.
He was brought back to Schuylkill County and arraigned on June 30 and is being held without bail.
