Schuylkill County welcomed home world champion soap box derby racer Bradeyn Ditzler with a fire truck escorted parade Sunday.
According to the Republican Herald, the 13 year old from Port Carbon bested 48 racers in four heats in the Masters Division at the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby on Saturday in Akron, Ohio.
In claiming the world title, Ditzler received a trophy, a world championship ring and a $3,000 college scholarship.
