The Schuylkill County Municipal Authority owns and operates six reservoirs in Schuylkill County and is warning people to stay away from them or face some big consequences.
The primary use of these waterways is the source of drinking water for 25 municipalities, supplying water to more than 30-thousand thousand residents in Schuylkill County.
Authorities say there are no trespassing signs and gates.
The reservoirs are as deep as 90 feet, and because it's a "no swim zone" there are no lifeguards on duty; making it a very dangerous dive. So the authority is stepping up its security and has implemented a no-tolerance policy.
The Authority says that people caught in person, or through posts to social media, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
