The victim of a crash on Route 443 in Wayne Township has been identified.
According to Skook News, it was just after 6:00am, Tuesday, when emergency personnel were dispatched to 912 Long Run Road in Wayne Township, near Pine Grove for a motor vehicle accident with heavy entrapment, involving a garbage truck and another vehicle.
The two people in the car were identified as 48 year old Joseph Kopinetz, the driver, and 63 year old Robert Schaeffer; the passenger.
Police say their vehicle ran into the back of the garbage truck which was parked along Route 443.
Schaeffer was pronounced dead at the scene by a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner. Kopinetz was flown to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
