An equipment failure left 1,625 PPL customers without power in the Orwigsburg area on Wednesday morning.
Jessica Long, PPL Regional Affairs Director for Harrisburg and Lancaster regions said the outage, caused by equipment failure, did not seem to be heat related, and lasted for approximately 2 hours.
According to Long,1,625 customers were initially without power. PPL restored power to 500 customers by 9:40 a.m. and all remaining customers were back in power by 11 a.m.
