Get ready for Pottsville on Tap.
The 1st of its kind event, to be held in the city will feature a pierogi-eating contest, Yuengling beer garden, local ethnic food, entertainment, and a chance to learn about mining history.
Events slated for the day include a special tour of the Yuengling Brewery, food vendors a free showing of the movie “The Molly Maguires” at the Majestic Theater and train and trolley rides.
The festival is hosted by PADCO, the Pottsville Business Association and is presented by Yuengling Brewery and the 250th Anniversary of Anthracite.
Pottsville on Tap is scheduled for Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Centre Street between Market Street and Laurel Boulevard.
